•SOUTHERN FARMERS LTD. is an agricultural buying group with a membership in excess of 900 and is a mutual co-operative operating as a non-profit making organisation. Our sole purpose is to act as buying agent for our members, who own the company, and to benefit them by negotiating the most advantageous terms possible with reliable group suppliers.
•SOUTHERN FARMERS LTD. does not act as the purchaser and does not deduct VAT input tax on goods purchased on behalf of members. Title for goods is subject to contract terms between the supplier and member, title passing from supplier to member and not being held by the group at any time. The supplier’s original invoice is processed to the member’s account, attached to the member’s monthly statement and issued on or around the 6th of the month.
• SOUTHERN FARMERS LTD. underwrites goods and services supplied to members and undertakes to collect all payments from members on behalf of group suppliers and to pay, unless otherwise agreed, in one sum each month to our normal terms.
•SOUTHERN FARMERS LTD. passes on to its Members the full benefits of the co-operative trading policies, no discounts being retained, but to cover administration costs, an annual fee is payable and an administration charge is made against each invoice processed.
